In Daniel 5 we learn 3 Principles

Principle #1 – Overconfidence leads to denial – Humility leads to submission
Principle #2 – Denial leads to defiance – submission leads to obedience
Principle #3 – Defiance leads to destruction – obedience leads to promotion & honor
Application #1 – Listen when people use their own failure to warn you.
Application #2 – Listen when God uses preaching to warn you.
Application #3 – DO NOT LISTEN to anyone denying consequences of sin, defying biblical warnings, or who destroyed their own life along with others.
