Hey SLBC family,

Hope this finds you doing well as we roll into September. Just a reminder that Bible study is happening today — 2pm in person or 7pm on Zoom, whichever fits your schedule.

We're continuing through Proverbs, and this week is a father having a real, serious conversation with his son to warn him about sin — specifically sexual sin. Solomon tells his son how the unsaved world makes it sound reasonable, even loving, and then warns him of the hidden cost to sexual sin.

This subject is necessary to study because the view on this has shifted a lot, even among believers. A Pew Research survey found that half of American Christians now say sex outside of marriage between consenting adults is sometimes or always acceptable. But scripture is clear that sex belongs within marriage between a husband and wife — nothing outside of that. That gap between what a lot of Christians believe and what God actually says is exactly why a chapter like this is necessary.

Join us today, in person or on Zoom. Studies also show that people who stay engaged in Bible study tend to grow more consistently in their walk with the Lord — so take a step in your spiritual growth and join us today.

This is more than a statement—it …
