Sunday: 27 Years of Miracles and Ministry
This Sunday will be a great celebration of all God has done through Shining Light Baptist Church over the past 27 years!
|
The day begins with breakfast from 10:00–10:45 a.m. Then, at 11:00 a.m., our anniversary service will open with worship through song and prayer. We will look back at 27 years of miracles and ministry, remembering some of the people, events, and moments that have shaped our church.
|
|
Before we close, we also have a very special surprise planned. We will end the service by thanking God for all He has done and looking forward to the years ahead.
|
As Sunday approaches, please pray for God’s blessing on the service. Pray that our hearts will be overwhelmed by His goodness as we remember His faithfulness to our church, and that the day will bring honor to Him.
|
We would love for you to celebrate with us in person. If you cannot be here, join us live through Zoom. Either way, we hope you will be part of this special day with the Shining Light Baptist Church family!

Telling the Next Generation
|
Our anniversary gives us an opportunity to follow the pattern God gives His people in Psalm 78:4–7:
|
|
|
|
“We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.”

The passage shows one generation telling the next what God has done and what God has said. Those children then teach their children.
|
As we remember 27 years of miracles and ministry at Shining Light Baptist Church, we are following that biblical pattern. We are declaring what God has done so that the next generation will know Him, trust Him, obey Him, and tell the generation that follows them.
